This guide will explain how having creamy cervical mucus before period as well as noting high soft cervix before period may be related to early signs of pregnancy. During ovulation the cervix will rise up and will have a soft texture, similar to the lips.
The opening to the cervix will remain open to allow potential fertilization.
Girls with BFP whats your cervix like?
After ovulation, cervical mucus decreases in quantity and begins to dry up. The cervix will become lower, feel firmer and the cervical opening will remain closed. It is important for a woman to be familiar with her own cycle and the changes her body makes as she ovulates. If a woman whose cervical mucus usually dries up after ovulation begins to notice creamy cm before period, this could be an early sign of pregnancy.
Also during menstruation, the cervix is low and firm, just like the tip of a nose. However, after conception the cervix is higher, with a soft texture and remains closed. Increased cervical mucus during early pregnancy is very common. This discharge is usually white in color, slightly thick and be milky in appearance. No odor should be present as well as it should not accompanied by any itchy or burning sensations.

In the early stages of pregnancy, the body produces more estrogen and increases blood flow to the vagina upon implantation. Incredibly, a pregnant woman produces more estrogen in one day than a non-pregnant woman will produce in approx.
Due to this hormonal change, an increased amount of cervical mucus is produced. The fluid will continue to be produced in the early months of pregnancy as it is used to form a mucus plug, which function is to protect the uterus of a pregnant woman. The medical term for this creamy cm before period during early pregnancy is leukorrhea.
It originates from the wall of the vagina and consists of normal vaginal bacteria. However, should it have any accompanying symptoms such as itchiness, fever, odor, or it is bothersome in any other nature, it is important to rule out an infection.
Also keep in mind that experiencing creamy mucus or high soft cervix before period is not a true indication of pregnancy. Some women notice these changes along with others such as breast tenderness or frequent urination even when they are not pregnant. Please Log In or add your name and email to post the comment. If not itching, burning or any kind of pain I know it's not a yeast infection either.
My cervix is somewhat high and both the cervix and the vagina wall although swollen are super soft almost mushy. It's really light and barely leave a small trace on my pad.
Beside noticing I am overemotional, headaches and dizzy lately I don't really have any other symptoms that I would not have before my periods. Anyone has this swelling? Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences. Add a comment. Comments 6 Add a comment. I'm personally not swelling but it's a pregnancy symptom for sure. It happens due to the increased blood flow. If pregnant the cervix will become squishy and high, the squishy feeling like I said is due to blood flow increase, the cervix is basically a blood bag gross sorry.
This happens early in pregnancy but at a different time for everyone. I have no input, as I'm not a cervix checker, but when I first read your topic, I read "smelling in vagina" and was so confused! I read the same thing BugsMummy!!! LOL This sounds like a pregnancy symptom for me.
It did happen in my first pregnancy, but not until later. But every pregnancy is different! Combined with the spotting it sounds promising to me :. I have that happen at the end of my cycle consistently when AF is supposed to show up. I figured I would give bad news first. I also had it for the first few weeks of my pregnancy! So for me it's not a sign of anything as it happens when I get pregnant and when AF is going to rear her ugly head. Thanks for the information : It never happened to me before but at least it's not unheard of that makes me feel better :.

CD 31 with cycles typically ranging between 25 and 27 days. Bfp on a cbe digital yesterday weeks Cervix was incredibly soft and swollen but is now firm. Last night it was even low and open but now has moved back up and I can still feel that it is firm, but cannot feel the opening due to a tilt.
Heavy cramping yesterday and today and keep running to the bathroom thinking I've started bleeding, just turns out to be cervical fluid though. Is this one going to let go?
Never had a firm cervix even in early preg before. You shouldn't go by your cervix. Believe me, I checked for months and months and it constantly changed so it is unreliable. Have you ever miscarried before?
Frer super faint, hard to even get a pic, today, looks like it's on the way out. I'm sure if you call the Dr. Hopefully little bean will stick this time around. If in the worst case, seek help from an infertility specialist. I did and they found that my progesterone is low after ovulation and put me on Prometrium mg 1xday.
FX for Sticky Bean! Thanks for your thoughts. My progesterone cycle was perfect at last check. I started bleeding bright red before I even left work. Have any of you ladies used your CP as an indication of pregnancy? I like to check mine often so I know it's different phases and textures. I am 9dpo and checked and it's fairly high, tilted back, and feels somewhat soft. Definitely not hard like the tip of a nose or anything. Not sure if this indicates much, but here's hoping! My CM was creamy. You dry up if you're going to start your period.
The sore nipples is another sign! My CP is also high, softish and tilted back! I am having creamy CM and very subtle cramping for the last two days.
I keep checking for IB, but have had nothing. I don't remember any with my last pregnancy tho, so maybe it's normal for me. I had a possible implantation dip yesterday at 7dpo and it came back up this morning. I am excited to see what it does tomorrow, but I'm still planning on waiting to test until AF is late!! I'm glad you are feeling the same way Good luck and I'll be waiting for your update!!
I'm out, AF arrived today. Right on time. I'm disappointed, but excited to try again!! Good luck to you!!! Anything yet? I am 11dpo today. I have been pretty symptomless today aside from a headache all day and being emotional too. Again, probably PMS. I tested this morning because I'm a glutton for punishment I'm pretty frustrated today.
I don't know how people do this for a year or more Maybe it won't be as easy for us this time. I felt bad for my son because I was kind of hard on him all day. Poor kiddo. My SO wasn't helping as he started in on me today and I felt like I wanted to explode! I felt so angry. I detach myself from emotion at times it seems. Then towards the end of the day I found myself crying. I'm not sure what it is. I can't help but wonder about these strange cramps I'm having though.
I get them on the right side, then later on left side. Never really just plain old cramps.
